At 6 PM on June 22nd, the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Post received a report of a fire in the northeastern part of Ban Co Mountain, in Duc Long village, Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district. The unit deployed 15 officers and soldiers, led by the Deputy Post Commander, along with firefighting equipment, to coordinate with local authorities, residents, and other firefighting forces. Because the forest mainly consists of eucalyptus, acacia, and pine trees, which are highly flammable, extinguishing the fire proved very difficult.
