Preserving and promoting the value of the 'great school' about President Ho Chi Minh
In a series of activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Uncle Ho's passing, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just organized a workshop on the conservation and promotion of the heritage value of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, with the participation of many scientists, cultural researchers and people who used to work at the relic site.
The event once again affirmed the great value of this special relic site - a school of Uncle Ho's pure moral example, simple and noble lifestyle, and dedication to the country and people.

The President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site within the Presidential Palace Historical and Cultural Relic Site is where Uncle Ho lived and worked for the last 15 years of his life, from when he and the Resistance Government returned to the Capital after the Dien Bien Phu victory (1954) until his death in September 1969. This was the 15-year period during which, as Party Chairman and President, he, together with the Politburo and the Party Central Committee, set out strategies and policies for the cause of building socialism in the North and the cause of fighting to liberate the South and unify the country.

After Uncle Ho passed away on September 2, 1969, a complex of historical relics related to Uncle Ho was formed in the Presidential Palace area, including 13 relic houses (Presidential Palace, House 54, Stilt House, Politburo Meeting Room, House 67, Kitchen A, Kitchen B, House where Uncle Ho signed the Decree, Tunnel H66, Tunnel D1...); 1,738 documents and artifacts belonging to the relic houses; 7 outdoor relics such as: Fish pond, Presidential Palace flower trellis, Mango road, Trail, Wooden bridge across the pond... and 50 relic trees that Uncle Ho brought back to plant or directly cared for.
Through many historical changes and fierce wartime, the heritage of Uncle Ho's residence and workplace at the Presidential Palace is still carefully protected, minimizing all impacts from nature and humans, and continuously welcoming domestic and international visitors.
In addition to his mausoleum, over the past 55 years, this complex of relics has welcomed nearly 90 million visitors from all over the country and from about 160 countries and territories around the world. Among them, many delegations of heads of state and many high-ranking delegations have left respectful impressions about him.
It can be affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh President Relic Complex at the Presidential Palace is one of the relic systems with special value in many aspects; it is one of the few relics that still retain its originality, vividly demonstrating the ideology and moral example of the leader who devoted his whole life to the country, the people, and progressive humanity in the world. This is a red address, a large school, vividly educating Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style for many generations today and tomorrow.
Therefore, promoting the value of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site is not only about preserving and conserving intact the relics associated with Uncle Ho's life and activities for future generations, but also about conveying the soul, character, life and great career of President Ho Chi Minh to domestic and international tourists.
In fact, not only domestic people but also international tourists, every time they come to Hanoi, along with visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, always take the time to visit and learn about the place where he lived and worked in the last years of his life. That is House 67, a simple stilt house with the typical stilt house architecture of the ethnic minorities in the Northern mountainous region, the "white mango flower road swaying in the sun", the fish pond of Uncle Ho, where his image is reflected like a fairy in a fairy tale after stressful working hours with the Central Committee to discuss leadership strategies, how to quickly liberate the South, unify the country, so that the North and the South can reunite under one roof.
Documents, artifacts, and stories about Uncle Ho's daily life, activities, and work all deeply express the feelings, noble personality, simple life, closeness to the people, love for the people, and respect for the people in a leader. Anyone who comes to Uncle Ho's side is like seeing precious things, and the longer they stay, the more deeply they feel Uncle Ho's spirit of lifelong dedication to serving the country and the people, wishing for the people to always be warm and well-off, and caring for the people before himself.
For every Vietnamese citizen today, every time they visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, visit the place where Uncle Ho lived and worked during his last days, count each step up to the stilt house - the place that marked the most vividly his life, everyone understands that it is the most concrete evidence of the simplicity and modesty of a revolutionary leader, a glorious life, full of hardships and sacrifices, extremely noble, extremely pure and beautiful. And for those who work in relic management here, preserving relics related to Uncle Ho is preserving a monument to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. That is the value and profound spiritual meaning of the special cultural heritage that Uncle Ho left us.
Spreading the values of the relics is spreading the noble values of Ho Chi Minh's morality and style, so that this place is worthy of being a school of revolutionary morality. Along with promoting the publication of publications in many languages around the world to introduce his life and career to a large number of people and international friends, researchers believe that it is necessary to continue researching and supplementing the display of documents and artifacts at the relics, ensuring the systematic, synchronous and comprehensive promotion of the values of the relics, including the Relic of the Working House of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong - an excellent student, who was closely associated with Uncle Ho in both work and daily life until the end of his life.
This year marks the 55th anniversary of Uncle Ho's passing, the 55th anniversary of implementing his Testament. Doing a good job of preserving and promoting the value of Ho Chi Minh's heritage, and absorbing the valuable experiences of previous generations is the way for cultural workers and scientists to continue to better perform the task of preserving, conserving and promoting the value of this special national cultural heritage; so that Ho Chi Minh's ideology and moral example will spread more and more strongly, contributing greatly to the successful implementation of the goal of building a Vietnam with a rich people, a strong country, democracy and civilization as Uncle Ho always wished./.
