In the first six months of 2024, Nghe An welcomed nearly 5.5 million tourists, reaching 64% of the 2024 plan. Total revenue from tourism reached VND 16,195 billion, of which tourism revenue was VND 6,257 billion, reaching 70% of the 2024 plan.
In early 2024, Nghe An's tourism sector proactively advised and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee a plan for tourism development in 2024; actively cooperated and linked with localities and domestic tourism businesses to organize tourism stimulus activities and plan for receiving tourists; and simultaneously developed plans for surveying and developing new products, organizing training courses, etc.

As a result, tourism in the first few months of the year, and especially during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30th and May 1st holidays, achieved positive results: the number of tourists increased rapidly, and basic tourism services met the high demand of the tourist market.
As a result, the number of tourists in the first six months of 2024 reached nearly 5.5 million, equivalent to 111% compared to the same period in 2023, and 64% of the 2024 plan. Of these, overnight visitors reached over 3.4 million, equivalent to 108% compared to the same period in 2023, and 62% of the annual plan; international visitors reached 48,200, equivalent to 148% compared to the same period in 2023.
