Upgrading National Highway 7B through Yen Thanh district
National Highway 7B section through Yen Thanh town has been seriously degraded for a long time and is currently being renovated and upgraded to ensure traffic safety.

National Highway 7B, the section passing through Yen Thanh town, is a vital route but has been seriously degraded for a long time, with the asphalt surface peeling off and full of potholes.
Because there are no drainage ditches on both sides of the road, after a heavy rain, some sections are flooded. Traffic accidents often occur on this road.
Faced with the above situation, from the capital source of the Vietnam Road Maintenance Fund, the Vietnam Road Administration invested over 45 billion VND to implement the project "Repairing damaged road surfaces and foundations of the drainage system to ensure traffic safety" with a length of 5.5km through Yen Thanh district (including Yen Thanh town and the communes of Hop Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Tang Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Xuan Thanh).
Accordingly, 3 km of asphalt pavement will be constructed through Yen Thanh town, the remaining 2.5 km will be used to repair drainage ditches, and concrete will be poured to reinforce the curbs on both sides, 2.5 m on each side. The project will be implemented from the beginning of June 2024.

In early July, under favorable weather conditions, the construction unit is urgently implementing projects, handling subsidence points, compacting the ground and laying asphalt.
Particularly for Yen Thanh town area, the construction unit mobilized 2 sets of machines, laid 5cm thick asphalt, completing about 20% of the volume.
Along with the asphalt pavement, construction units are laying sidewalks on both sides of the road, working neatly as they go to ensure no traffic jams.
Currently, the weather is favorable, so the construction progress is being accelerated, and the asphalt part is expected to be completed by July 10.

With 2.5 km through the communes, only drainage ditch repairs and concrete reinforcement on both sides of the road have been carried out, currently reaching over 60%. It is expected that by the end of September 2024, the renovation, repair and upgrading of 5.5 km of road through Yen Thanh district will be completed.
The upgraded route will facilitate the travel of people in Yen Thanh district and socio-economic development. In particular, some weak points passing through the market areas in Hoa Thanh and Xuan Thanh communes have been widened and the sidewalks reinforced to avoid congestion and ensure traffic safety.
