Upgrading National Highway 7B section through Yen Thanh district.
National Highway 7B, the section passing through Yen Thanh town, has been severely degraded for a long time and is currently being renovated and upgraded to ensure traffic safety.

National Highway 7B, the section passing through Yen Thanh town, is a vital road but has been severely degraded for a long time, with the asphalt surface peeling off and riddled with potholes.
Because there are no drainage ditches along the road, some sections get flooded after even a heavy rain. Traffic accidents frequently occur on this road.
In response to the above situation, using funds from the Vietnam Road Maintenance Fund, the Vietnam Road Administration invested over 45 billion VND to implement the project "Repairing damaged road surfaces and foundations, drainage system to ensure traffic safety" with a length of 5.5km through Yen Thanh district (including Yen Thanh town and the communes of Hop Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Tang Thanh, Hoa Thanh, and Xuan Thanh).
Accordingly, 3 km of the road passing through Yen Thanh town will be paved with asphalt, while the remaining 2.5 km will involve repairing drainage ditches and reinforcing the shoulders on both sides with concrete, each 2.5 m wide. The project commenced in early June 2024.

In early July, under favorable weather conditions, the construction unit was urgently implementing various tasks, addressing subsidence points, compacting the ground, and laying asphalt.
Specifically for the Yen Thanh town area, the construction unit has mobilized 2 sets of machinery and is laying a 5 cm thick layer of asphalt, completing approximately over 20% of the work.
Alongside paving the road surface with asphalt, construction units are also building sidewalks on both sides of the road, keeping the work neat and tidy as they go to ensure there is no traffic congestion.
Currently, the weather is favorable, so construction progress is being accelerated, and the asphalt paving is expected to be completed by July 10th.

With 2.5 km passing through communes requiring only repairs to drainage ditches and concrete reinforcement of both sides, the project is currently over 60% complete. It is expected that the renovation and upgrading of the 5.5 km road through Yen Thanh district will be completed by the end of September 2024.
The upgraded road facilitates travel for the people of Yen Thanh district and promotes socio-economic development. In particular, several bottleneck points passing through market areas in Hoa Thanh and Xuan Thanh communes have been widened and the road shoulders reinforced, preventing traffic congestion and ensuring traffic safety.
