This is the latest announcement from the Department of Education and Training on the plan to announce benchmark scores for grade 10 in the 2024-2025 school year.

Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper on the afternoon of July 11, a representative of the High School Department - Department of Education and Training said: Up to this point, the province has not approved the enrollment quota for grade 10 high school for the 2024-2025 school year, so the enrollment approval schedule will be postponed.

It is expected that tomorrow morning (July 12), the province will have a meeting with relevant departments and branches to review the enrollment plan for all levels of education. After approving the quotas of high schools, the Department will soon approve the admission list and announce the standard scores of the schools.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in the whole province has more than 44,000 candidates participating in the exam with 3 subjects: Literature, Math and Foreign Language.

Since June 15, the Department of Education and Training has announced the entrance exam scores for grade 10 and Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. Up to now, the Department has approved the list of successful candidates for Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities and the Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities No. 2.

On July 19, Huynh Thuc Khang, Ha Huy Tap, and Le Viet Thuan High Schools will consider enrolling classes according to the advanced school model following the international integration trend (phase 1) and on July 22, they will approve phase 2.

On July 25, public high schools that enroll students for the second choice will conduct the first round of admissions, and on July 29, the second round of admissions will be held, and on August 2, the third round of admissions will be held.

For non-public schools, this year, the first round of admission will be on August 6, the second round will be on August 12, and the third round will be on August 16.

By August 19, public high schools that only enroll students for the first choice will submit the final admission list for approval on the system; on August 21, public high schools that enroll students for the second choice will submit the final admission list for approval, and on August 23, non-public high schools will submit the final admission list for approval.

After the Department's announcement, this afternoon, high schools in the province also notified candidates about the postponement of the announcement of the list of successful candidates and the new admission schedule will be updated when there is an announcement from the Department of Education and Training.

The postponement also makes many parents and students worried because this year, the 10th grade admission in Nghe An has had many fluctuations after students were allowed to change their preferences and the 10th grade entrance exam scores have changed a lot compared to previous exams.

In previous years, admission scores to public schools depended on the assigned quota and the number of students who came and went after changing their preferences and the number of students who registered and were admitted to specialized schools in the province./.
