This is the latest announcement from the Department of Education and Training regarding the plan to announce the entrance exam scores for grade 10 in the 2024-2025 school year.

Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper on the afternoon of July 11th, a representative from the High School Department of the Department of Education and Training stated: As of now, the province has not yet approved the enrollment quotas for 10th grade in high schools for the 2024-2025 school year, therefore the enrollment review schedule will be postponed.

Tomorrow morning (July 12th), the province is expected to hold a meeting with relevant departments and agencies to review the enrollment plan for all educational levels. After approving the enrollment quotas for high schools, the Department will soon approve the list of admitted students and announce the cut-off scores for each school.

The entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2024-2025 school year across the province will have more than 44,000 candidates participating in 3 subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Language.

Since June 15th, the Department of Education and Training has announced the entrance exam scores for grade 10 and the entrance exam scores for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School. To date, the Department has approved the list of successful candidates for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, the Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, and Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2.

According to the previous plan of the Department of Education and Training, from July 12th, public high schools that only accept first-choice applications will conduct the first round of admissions. From July 16th, public high schools that only accept first-choice applications will conduct the second round of admissions, and on July 31st, they will conduct the third round of admissions.

On July 19th, Huynh Thuc Khang, Ha Huy Tap, and Le Viet Thuan High Schools will conduct the first round of admissions for classes following the advanced school model in line with international integration trends, and the second round will be reviewed on July 22nd.

On July 25th, public high schools accepting second-choice applications will conduct the first round of admissions, followed by the second round on July 29th, and the third round on August 2nd.

For private schools, this year, the first round of admissions will be on August 6th, the second round on August 12th, and the third round on August 16th.

By August 19th, public high schools that only accept first-choice applications will submit their final lists of admitted students for approval via the system; on August 21st, public high schools that accept second-choice applications will submit their final lists for approval; and on August 23rd, private high schools will submit their final lists of admitted students for approval.

Following the announcement from the Department, this afternoon, high schools throughout the province also informed candidates about the postponement of the announcement of the list of admitted students and that the new enrollment schedule will be updated when the Department of Education and Training announces it.

The postponement has also caused anxiety among many parents and students because this year's 10th grade admissions in Nghe An have seen quite a few changes after students were allowed to change their preferences and the 10th grade entrance exam scores have changed significantly compared to previous exams.

In previous years, the admission scores for public schools depended on the allocated quotas, the number of students moving in and out after changing their preferences, and the number of students applying to the specialized schools in the province.
