At the opening ceremony, Duong Cam Lynh burned incense and prayed for her return to the role and for the film to be successful and loved by the audience.
She said: "Over the past two years, although I have received invitations to act in movies, I did not dare accept them because I knew my mind and emotions could not fully prepare for the role.
When I was still struggling to earn money to pay off debt, take care of two small children, and face all kinds of public opinion, if I accepted a film, I thought it would be disrespectful to the profession. Now, everything is "put" back, the most difficult things are over. I stand up on my own two feet and work with my hands."
Director Xuan Phuoc was the person who worked on Duong Cam Lynh's first film when she returned from the US 14 years ago (filmWaves of life) so she accepted him as soon as she was invited to this project.
The actress does not care about salary because for her, what is important is suitability, interest in the role, a dedicated director, and an engaging script.
"I don't ask for this or that price because of the scandal, I just want to be paid a salary that is commensurate with the effort I put in," she added.
