With the aim of inspiring and nurturing passion for ethnic minority musical instruments, artisans in the remote district of Tuong Duong, regardless of difficulties and hardships, go to class every day to teach musical instruments for free to children during the summer.
For nearly a month now, three times a week, despite the intense heat, Mr. Vi Van Quynh, from Chan village, Thach Giam town (Tuong Duong) still goes to class to teach musical instruments to children during the summer days. He shared: “I have been passionate about and known traditional musical instruments since I was a child. For me, traditional musical instruments are ingrained in my blood. Whenever I have free time, I play music. Playing music helps me feel healthier and happier. Unfortunately, children nowadays are not interested in traditional cultural heritage. Knowing that the town's Youth Union organizes free musical instrument classes for children during the summer, I voluntarily registered to teach, with the sole purpose of inspiring and nurturing the passion for traditional musical instruments for children in my hometown."
