According to the synthesis of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order Police, on July 15 alone, the first day of launching the "National Day of Handing Over Weapons, Explosives, Support Tools and Firecrackers" in 2024, the local police in the whole province mobilized to recover 380 guns (8 military guns, 372 homemade guns); 208 bullets; 8 grenades, various types of bullets; 0.8 kg of explosives; 6 detonators; 10m of slow-burning wire; 18 kg of explosive precursors; 13 support tools; 452 primitive weapons; 1 component for assembling weapons; 477 firecrackers and boxes; 9 kg of explosives.

To achieve the above results, the police forces at all levels have proactively advised local Party committees and authorities in implementing the Plan of the Provincial Police Director on launching a peak period of propaganda and mobilizing people to hand over and fight against crimes and violations of the law on weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks in 2024 in an effective and practical manner.

Local police continue to review and make a list of subjects with criminal records, suspected of criminal activities related to weapons, explosives, supporting tools, and fireworks for monitoring, management, and fighting. In addition, strengthen the grasp of the local situation to promptly detect, fight, and arrest subjects with signs of illegal production, storage, and trading of weapons, explosives, supporting tools, etc.
