Starting at 9:30 AM this morning, July 22nd, the Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir (Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district) is expected to release floodwaters.

On the morning of July 22nd, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Urgent Notice No. 111 regarding the operation of water release from the Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir.

Accordingly, at 04:57 on July 22nd, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received notification No. 01 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation regarding the release of water from the Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir.
To ensure the safe operation of water release from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to release water from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:
Expected time for water release through the spillway: 09:30 AM, July 22, 2024.
Discharge flow rate: The total expected discharge flow rate is approximately 140m³.3/s up to 500m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator units).
Expected time for ceasing water discharge through the spillway: Until the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 140 m.3/S.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense hereby informs: the People's Committee of Ky Son District and the heads of provincial departments, agencies, and the Road Management Area 2.
To inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of ​​the Nam Mo Hydropower Plant, so that necessary measures can be taken to ensure the safety of lives and property of the state and the people.
