Nam Mo Hydropower Plant releases floodwaters
It is expected that from 9:30 a.m. this morning, July 22, Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir (Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district) will discharge flood water.
On the morning of July 22, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Urgent Notice No. 111 on the operation of water discharge from the Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.

Accordingly, at 04:57 on July 22, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 01 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation regarding the discharge of water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.
To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to discharge water from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of water discharge through the spillway: 09:30, July 22, 2024.
Discharge flow: Total expected discharge flow is about 140m3/s to 500m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets).
Estimated time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to the lake drops below 140 m3/S.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: Ky Son District People's Committee and Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors, and Road Management Area 2.
To notify authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Nam Mo Hydropower Plant to know, deploy necessary work, ensure safety of life and property of the state and people.
