On July 22nd, Song Lam Nghe An officially issued a statement after several media outlets raised suspicions about age fraud involving its players.

Recently, several media outlets published a series of articles regarding suspected age fraud among some young players of Song Lam Nghe An.
In response to the above information, Song Lam Nghe An Football Club issued a statement affirming: With the responsibility and mission of searching for, training, and developing young football talents for the province and the nation, Song Lam Nghe An Football Club affirms that the selection process is objective and transparent.
As a business entity, Song Lam Nghe An Club bases its decisions on the professional criteria of its athletes and relies on legally required documents and records verified by relevant authorities, while also fully trusting in the rigorous scrutiny of the Vietnam Football Federation and the tournament organizers.
For the sake of fairness, the legitimate rights of children in general and football players in particular, as well as the honor and reputation of the club, Song Lam Nghe An Football Club affirms that the club absolutely does not condone or support the falsification of athletes' ages or the creation of fraudulent records and documents.
For all current players under contract with the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Training Center, we are committed to providing all necessary legal documents related to the athletes, as provided by their families, such as: civil status confirmation from the local Department of Justice; and identification numbers and citizen identification cards from the Public Security Department.
