Song Lam Nghe An officially speaks out about age fraud suspicions
On July 22, Song Lam Nghe An officially issued an announcement after some press agencies raised questions about player age fraud.
Recently, a number of press agencies published a series of articles about suspected age fraud among some young players of Song Lam Nghe An.
In response to the above information, Song Lam Nghe An Club issued a statement affirming: With the responsibility and mission of searching, training and developing young football talents for the province as well as the country, Song Lam Nghe An Club affirms that the athlete selection process is objective and transparent.
As a business unit, Song Lam Nghe An Club relies on the professional criteria of athletes and on the records and documents as prescribed by law that have been confirmed by the authorities as well as completely trusts in the strict inspection of the Vietnam Football Federation and the Organizing Committee of the tournaments.
For the sake of fairness and the legitimate rights of children in general and football athletes in particular, as well as the honor and reputation of the club, Song Lam Nghe An Club affirms that the Club absolutely does not have a policy of cheating on athletes' ages or supporting cheating or falsifying records and documents.
For all current players under the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Training Center, we commit to having all the necessary records and legal documents related to the athletes provided by their families such as: household registration certificate from the local Justice Department; identification number and citizen identification card from the Public Security Department.
