Song Lam Nghe An youth team impresses in Japan
The 2024 National Youth Football Championship champions made a strong impression in Japan during their international training and friendly tour, defeating many strong Japanese teams.
The competition and training trip at Mito Hollyhock Club lasted 10 days. The trip was part of a cooperation program between Song Lam Nghe An Club and Mito Hollyhock Club, with Tan Long Group covering all expenses. This is the second time in two consecutive years that Song Lam Nghe An U13 Team has been given the opportunity to participate in training trips abroad. Previously, SLNA U12 participated in competition and training in Hunan (China).
During their first days in Japan, the young players of Song Lam Nghe An were continuously supplemented and trained by experts and coaches of Mito Hollyhock Club. In addition, they also witnessed the exciting, professional atmosphere of a J.League 1 match between Kashima Antlers Club and FC Tokyo at Kashima Stadium, and visited some famous places and sights in Japan.
On the afternoon of July 23, the U13 Song Lam Nghe An team had a practice match with the U13 Mito Hollyhock team, the Vietnamese representative surprisingly won with a score of 10-1. On July 24, coach Le Van Hung and his team then entered the first match at the Mito 2024 International Friendly Tournament with 20 teams from Tokyo, Ibaraki Prefecture and neighboring provinces.
As a result, U13 Song Lam Nghe An won 4-0 against Mito High School (High School Level). In the second match, U13 Song Lam Nghe An continued to impress when defeating a representative from J.League 1, U13 Shonan Bellmare, with a score of 5-1.
With this result, coach Le Van Hung and his team can go deep in the tournament and can create many surprises in the knockout matches. The training trip of U13 Song Lam Nghe An will end on July 28. This is a great opportunity for Nghe An's young players to learn and experience the professional training environment in Japan and accumulate knowledge for the journey ahead.
