Last chance of victory for Ukraine
The last chance for Ukraine may come when Western countries try to lift the ban on Ukraine attacking targets on Russian territory.
According to RIA Novosti, the Advance (Croatia) publication commented that in the context of failures in the conflict in Ukraine, the West may try to make a final decision on removing the ban on the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacking Russian territory.
“In the current situation, in fact, there is only one last attempt left, after which the United States will have to admit that the ideas have run out. We are talking about the plan that Kiev has long been proposing: Ukraine receives maximum military assistance from the West, but it would be better if it were removed, which would remove all prohibitions on Ukrainian attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Advance said.
According to Advance, in this case, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be allowed to attack using any military equipment in their arsenal.
“In practice, this means that Ukraine is allowed to attack Russia with all available means: aircraft, artillery, missiles of various ranges…” – Advance said.
The article also noted that Ukrainian attacks are unlikely to change the situation on the battlefield.
“Is there some military logic to this, or does Kiev just want to try everything it hasn’t tried yet? Most likely, the plan is to give Ukraine one last chance: what Kiev wants and see what this leads to,” the Advance said.
Earlier, commenting on plans to allow Ukraine to attack targets on Russian territory, President Vladimir Putin stressed that NATO countries must realize “what game they are playing”.
