Some car buyers then trusted and handed over their cars and documents to the subject. After a while, when they wanted to get their cars back, the subject gave many reasons to delay returning the cars, making people very upset.

Through verification, the Office of the Provincial Police Department of Investigation identified the subject involved as Tran Thi H. (born in 1997) - a sales employee of an auto shop in Vinh city.
Applying synchronous professional measures, the Office of the Criminal Police Department (Provincial Police) clarified: During the period from April 2023 to July 2024, due to losses in virtual currency investment online, in order to have money to pay off debt, Tran Thi H. contacted previous car buyers that H. had consulted to provide information that the car company the customer had purchased was having a tax refund promotion program and giving away accessory packages equivalent to 10% of the car value; but required the customer to give the car and car documents to H.
When she got the customer's property, Tran Thi H. pawned it.

In addition, H. also went to car rental shops in Vinh city, Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai town to rent cars and then pawn them to get money to pay off debts, spend on personal expenses and invest in virtual currency.
Using the above tricks, Tran Thi H. committed 13 frauds, appropriating 13 cars worth more than 10 billion VND from 13 citizens in Nghe An province.
Currently, the above case is being further investigated by the Investigation Police Agency (Provincial Police).
