The goalkeeper from Nghe An province has been recruited by Hong Linh Ha Tinh.
After parting ways with PVF-People's Police, goalkeeper Ho Viet Dai, who came through the Song Lam Nghe An youth academy, has joined Hong Linh Ha Tinh.
To prepare for the 2024/2025 season, PVF-People's Police has implemented a squad restructuring plan. And Ho Viet Dai is one of the players who will be leaving. The decision of the PVF-People's Police leadership is completely understandable, because in the past season, Ho Viet Dai's familiar position was on the substitutes' bench.
According to statistics, in the 2023/2024 National First Division League, the goalposts for PVF-People's Police were guarded by Phi Minh Long and Nguyen Quang Truong (Phi Minh Long played in 18 out of 20 matches, while Nguyen Quang Truong played in 2 out of 20 matches). Therefore, Ho Viet Dai was not used by coach Mauro Jeronimo at all.
Joining Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Ho Viet Dai will have to compete for the starting goalkeeper position with Nguyen Thanh Tung and Duong Tung Lam. Objectively speaking, Ho Viet Dai's playing experience cannot compare to that of the two aforementioned goalkeepers. Therefore, if he wants to be favored by coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, Ho Viet Dai must put in a lot of effort in training.
In the past, besides PVF-People's Police, Ho Viet Dai also played for Ho Chi Minh City Club (2022) and Phu Tho Club (2023). Generally, Ho Viet Dai's performances were not particularly impressive. It's no coincidence that Ho Viet Dai was only a "surplus" player at Ho Chi Minh City Club and PVF-People's Police.
Hopefully, Ho Viet Dai will get regular playing time, contributing to Hong Linh Ha Tinh achieving high results in the 2024/2025 season.
