Russia destroys Western Patriot air defense system with Iskander-M missile
The Russian military successfully destroyed Western Patriot air defense missile systems with Iskander-M missiles, according to Military Watch magazine.
“The urgency of sending Patriot systems to Ukraine is growing as the country’s stockpile of Soviet-made S-300 systems dwindles and videos continue to confirm successful strikes using Iskander-M to destroy Patriots at the front,” the publication said.
The publication notes that due to the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army, the United States and Germany are facing a shortage of Patriot air defense missile systems.
The Iskander-M is one of Russia's most advanced missile systems, capable of carrying a variety of warheads, including nuclear ones. The missile system is highly maneuverable and can penetrate missile defense systems, making it a very effective offensive weapon.
