Re-certification of 4-star OCOP products in Nghe An.
The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 1978/QD-UBND dated August 6, 2024, on the re-recognition of 4 products that achieved 4-star OCOP status.
These products include: Lotus seed tea and lotus-infused rice tea from Sen Que Bac Agricultural Cooperative (located in Mau 2 hamlet, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district), Ba Que fermented bamboo shoots from Thanh Chuong Agricultural Specialty and Fermented Bamboo Shoot Production Cooperative (Hamlet 6, Hanh Lam commune), and Tan Hoi anchovy fish sauce from Cua Hoi - Cua Lo Seafood Processing and Service Joint Stock Company. These products achieved OCOP 4-star rating after the evaluation process.

The decision also states: The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall guide OCOP entities in using and printing the OCOP symbol on the packaging of recognized products in accordance with regulations, coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to conduct periodic inspections of products and propose handling of products that do not meet the standards of the OCOP program.
The producers of OCOP products recognized in this decision are responsible for organizing, managing, and controlling product quality in accordance with the set of criteria for evaluating and classifying OCOP products.

According to regulations, OCOP certified products are only valid for 36 months from the date the certification decision is issued. To continue using the OCOP certification mark (OCOP logo with stars) printed or affixed to the packaging and labels of products when circulating and being sold on the market, these products need to be re-evaluated and re-certified by the relevant authorities.
