Russian UAV destroys Ukrainian HIMARS.
One of the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers supplied by the US to Kyiv was destroyed in the Sumy region of Ukraine, according to a video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense on August 15.

A video released on August 15 shows drone footage of an M142 HIMARS launching several missiles from a road in Sumy province. The unit then enters the forest to reload. Within minutes, an Iskander ballistic missile strikes the forest, destroying the Ukrainian missile launcher.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attack destroyed a launch platform, a loader for six missiles, and two support vehicles belonging to a Ukrainian artillery unit.
The M142 is mounted on a wheeled truck chassis and can launch a barrage of GPS-guided missiles, convertible air-launched bombs, or long-range ATACMS ballistic missiles. The US has supplied Ukraine with at least 40 launchers, according to information released by the Pentagon.
