To help poor students in the border area to go to school, Nghe An Border Guard has coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Mon Son (Con Cuong) and Tam Quang (Tuong Duong) communes to build and renovate dormitories... to meet the conditions for eating, living and studying for the students.
Entering the 2024-2025 school year, Tam Quang border commune, Tuong Duong district has a new dormitory for middle school students. The dormitory is located in Mo village, built on the basis of renovating the old Tam Quang commune primary school. From the supported resources, on July 10, 2024, the dormitory was deployed by Tam Quang Border Guard Station to build. Tam Quang Border Guard Station has held four meetings with the Party Committee, People's Committee of Tam Quang Commune, Tam Quang Secondary School and agreed to build a dormitory to support students. The construction cost is over 300 million VND from calling for and connecting with volunteer organizations and individuals. It is known that in the 2024-2025 school year, Mon Son Secondary School dormitory will welcome 90 students. The model "Accompanying dormitories in border areas" not only contributes to supporting and helping Dan Lai students in the dormitory to have better living and studying conditions, but also strengthens solidarity and attachment between officers and soldiers of the Border Guard and local people, contributing to building a strong people's border defense in the border area of Nghe An province.
