Pioneers of wealth creation in a border commune of Nghe An province.
Overcoming countless difficulties, Ho Ba Po in Tien Tieu village, Nam Can border commune, Ky Son district, has strived to become a shining example in the movement to get rich and develop the local economy.
Rising from native plants and animals.
Born into a poor farming family, Ho Ba Po (born in 1985) diligently completed his high school education before starting his career. He served as a permanent militia soldier in Nam Can commune, then as an agricultural extension officer and Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch in Tien Tieu village. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nam Can commune. These experiences have instilled in him a determined spirit to overcome difficulties, becoming a strong driving force for his entrepreneurial endeavors.
Realizing that traditional farming was no longer enough to support his family and pay for his children's education, Mr. Pó decided to shift to farm-based economic activities. With his initial capital and a loan from the Social Policy Bank, he bought two breeding cows and five female goats, beginning his journey in livestock farming. Despite facing numerous difficulties such as lack of investment capital, disease outbreaks, and an unstable market, with the support of family, friends, the community, and the local government, he persevered.

Hờ Bá Pó started by raising buffaloes, cows, and pigs – a common occupation in the highlands of Kỳ Sơn. He understood that to succeed in this field, he needed good knowledge and skills in animal husbandry. Therefore, he constantly sought out and learned from the experiences of others and participated in training courses on animal husbandry organized by agricultural extension agencies.
Over time, thanks to good management and careful care, his herd of buffalo and cattle grew steadily. He continuously reinvested in buying more breeding stock and expanding his barns. From just a few initial animals, the number of buffalo and cattle on his farm increased to dozens, providing a stable and substantial income for his family.
Not content with just livestock farming, I also ventured into crop cultivation, utilizing vacant land in the village to grow fruit trees such as mangoes, pomelos, and oranges. Thanks to advanced farming techniques and careful care, my family's crops grew quickly, yielded high productivity, and were purchased by traders at good prices.
Mr. Hờ Bá Pó lives in Tiền Tiêu village, Nậm Cắn border commune, Kỳ Sơn district.

Recognizing the importance of science and technology in agriculture, Mr. Pó always strives to apply scientific advancements to his production practices. He has boldly used high-yielding crop and livestock varieties, and simultaneously applied advanced farming and livestock breeding methods, such as using organic fertilizers, biological pest control, and an automated irrigation system.
One of the key factors contributing to Mr. Ho Ba Po's success in becoming wealthy is his ability to connect with the market. He has built relationships with many traders in neighboring areas, ensuring a stable outlet for his family's agricultural products. This has helped him not only sell his products at high prices but also ensure a stable income for his family, especially during difficult seasons.
Spreading the model of mutual assistance in wealth creation.
After more than 10 years of developing his farm, Ho Ba Po has transformed a barren piece of land into a thriving farm with a herd of 35 cows, 43 goats, and a large number of pigs, chickens, and ducks. Annual revenue from livestock farming reaches 160-200 million VND, allowing his family to build a spacious house and invest in their children's education. Furthermore, Mr. Po actively helps poor households in the locality by providing loans, supplying livestock, and sharing his farming experience.

Mr. Ho Ba Po's success extends beyond his family to the wider community. He readily shares his experience and provides technical support to other households in the village, helping them develop their economy together. Thanks to this support, many families in Tien Tieu village have risen out of poverty and achieved a more prosperous life.
With compassion and a sense of responsibility, Ho Ba Po is not only a farmer who has become wealthy from hardship but also a person who actively contributes to the community. He has supported many poor households in the locality by donating cows and goats and sharing his production experience. Over the past 10 years, he has helped one poor household, Mr. Ly Ba Xu's household in Truong Son village, Nam Can commune, with a cow worth 8 million VND; in 2023, he continued to support Mr. Ho Tong Xo's household in Tien Tieu village with a cow worth 7 million VND, which has now given birth to 3 more calves; at the beginning of 2024, he supported two families in Huoi Nhuc village, Pha Danh commune, to buy 2 goats each, with cash of 2 million VND…
His efforts have been highly appreciated and honored by local, district, and provincial authorities with numerous Certificates of Merit and Commendations. He has become a shining example for the people in his village and the entire region, admired and emulated by many.

He intends to further expand the farm's scale, diversify crops and livestock, and apply more scientific and technological advancements to production. He hopes to create more jobs for the people in his village and contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful border region.
Through hard work, perseverance, and innovative thinking, Mr. Ho Ba Po has not only transformed his family's life but also contributed to changing the face of his entire community. His success is a living testament to the saying "Farmers get rich from the land," and a great source of inspiration for those striving to overcome difficulties.
Despite coming from a poor family, Mr. Ho Ba Po demonstrated diligence and determination to achieve legitimate wealth. As a cadre and Party member, Comrade Po always studied, innovated, and actively mobilized the people to develop the economy, helping the villagers escape poverty.
