Could the effort in the Kursk region lead Ukraine to disaster?
The American Conservative magazine believes that efforts to stay in the Kursk region could lead Ukraine to disaster.

According to RIA Novosti, journalist Ivan Eland of the American Conservative magazine believes that the desire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to maintain their position in the Kursk border area, in conditions where Russia has an advantage in resources, could lead Ukraine to disaster.
“Attempts by Ukrainian forces to maintain a bridgehead in the Kursk region – surrounded on three sides by Russian forces and connected by an ever-lengthening supply line – will leave Ukraine increasingly vulnerable. This is a dangerous and potentially catastrophic situation.”
According to journalist Eland, offensive actions cause much more casualties than defensive actions. In this regard, he noted, the already difficult situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front may worsen, due to the imbalance in military-technical advantages that Russia has.
“If the supply lines are cut off, the Ukrainian armed forces could be surrounded,” said journalist Ivan Eland.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's efforts to call on Western countries to quickly provide weapons have also encountered many difficulties.
At a campaign rally on August 21, former US President Donald Trump said that US arsenals were empty due to aid to Ukraine.
“Right now, we don’t have any ammunition. … And you know why, we’ve given it to Ukraine and other places. Our warehouses are empty,” Trump said.
