Could efforts in the Kursk region lead Ukraine to disaster?
The American Conservative magazine argues that the attempt to remain in the Kursk region could lead Ukraine to disaster.

According to RIA Novosti, journalist Ivan Eland of the American Conservative magazine believes that the Ukrainian armed forces' desire to maintain their position in the Kursk border region, given Russia's resource advantage, could lead Ukraine into disaster.
“The efforts of Ukrainian forces to maintain a bridgehead in the Kursk region – surrounded on three sides by Russian forces and connected by an increasingly long supply route – will leave Ukraine increasingly vulnerable. This is a dangerous situation and could even lead to disaster.”
According to journalist Eland, offensive actions cause far greater casualties than defensive actions. In this regard, he noted that the already difficult situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the front could worsen due to the imbalance in military technical advantage held by Russia.
"If the supply lines are cut off, the Ukrainian armed forces could be surrounded," journalist Ivan Eland stated.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's efforts to urge Western countries to quickly supply weapons are also facing numerous difficulties.
At a campaign rally on August 21, former US President Donald Trump stated that US arsenals were empty due to aid to Ukraine.
“Right now, we don’t have any ammunition. … And you know why, we’ve already supplied it to Ukraine and elsewhere. Our stockpiles are empty,” said Donald Trump.
