Completion of site clearance for Hai Thuong Lan Ong road project (Vinh city) phase 1
On the morning of August 22, Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee directly inspected the construction progress of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street.
Comrade Phan Duc Dong highly appreciated the active and drastic participation of units in clearing the land for this route, and at the same time requested the City Project Management Board to speed up the progress, strengthen close and regular supervision of the quality of the project; soon complete the construction of drainage ditches and construction on Hai Thuong Lan Ong route to ensure progress.
According to information from the Ha Huy Tap ward government, on August 20, Mr. Phan Hong Tien's family in Yen Son block signed and received compensation for land clearance on Hai Thuong Lan Ong street. This is the last household in the clearance area to have completed the procedures to hand over the land to the project.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Nam - Vice Chairman of Ha Huy Tap Ward People's Committee said: Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street passing through the ward has 15 households whose land must be recovered to expand and upgrade the road. After many months of propaganda and mobilization by the city's functional agencies, the city's project management board and the ward People's Committee, up to now, 15/15 households have agreed to the compensation plan and handed over the site to the construction unit.
It is known that Hai Thuong Lan Ong route from Truong Van Linh to Bui Huy Bich (phase 1) passes through Ha Huy Tap ward and Nghi Phu commune. In which, in Ha Huy Tap ward, the total land area to be recovered is 3,412.8m2.2(including residential land, agricultural land, office land and traffic land). For Nghi Phu commune, the total recovered land area is 1,078.8m2(including residential land and traffic land, (10 households are subject to land acquisition (land handover completed by the end of 2023).
According to the reporter, Vinh City is currently focusing on mobilizing machinery and human resources to dismantle the constructions, while expanding the roadway and building a drainage system...
Previously, some opinions said that the construction progress of Hai Thuong Lan Ong road project was slow, according to the explanation of Vinh City Project Management Board - the unit constructing the road, the reason was that the land clearance had not been completed before, so the construction could not be continuous. However, the land is now available and the city will speed up the construction progress of this road to complete it as soon as possible.
According to the plan, Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street will be expanded to 24m, from the intersection with Truong Van Linh Street to the planned 24m road and implemented in two sections.
Section 1 (from Bui Huy Bich Street to the 24m planned road) according to Decision No. 911/2023 of Vinh City People's Committee, in accordance with the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of Nghi Phu commune and Hung Loc commune, route length 879.41 m, total investment 217.3 billion VND.
As for section 2 (the starting point intersects with Truong Van Linh Street, the ending point intersects with Bui Huy Bich Street), according to Decision No. 2692 of Vinh City People's Committee. This section has a total investment of more than 93.3 billion VND, nearly 200m long. The entire road will be built 24m wide, of which the road surface is 12m wide, the sidewalk is 2 x 6m, and the road surface is asphalt.
