A mother and her two daughters burst into tears while watching Quyen Linh's film.
Watching Quyền Linh's film after 20 years, his mother and two daughters, Lọ Lem and Hạt Dẻ, cried because they felt sorry for the character with a tragic fate and many hardships that the male artist faced.
At the premiere of the film "Hai Muoi" on August 29th, Quyen Linh was happy to have his family gathered to celebrate his return to cinema after 20 years.

His mother traveled from her hometown in Tien Giang to Ho Chi Minh City to support her son. Dressed simply, she walked the red carpet with her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren, posing for the cameras.
Quyền Linh's wife, Dạ Thảo, and their two daughters, Lọ Lem and Hạt Dẻ, received just as much attention as the main character. While watching the film, the whole family shed tears, moved by the tragic portrayal of the actor.

The two daughters hugged their father, Quyen Linh, and sobbed uncontrollably at the theater. “We know Dad tried his best and put in a lot of effort to complete the role. We were both moved because Dad's image on screen was so similar to his real-life self. We understand even more the preciousness of family,” Lo Lem shared.
Quyền Linh plays the role of Ông Hai, a man who makes a living by making salt in Thiềng Liềng hamlet (Ho Chi Minh City). For many years, he lived as a single father, struggling alone to raise and care for his daughter until she reached adulthood.

Returning to the big screen after a 20-year hiatus, Quyền Linh received much attention, and even some skeptical opinions about his acting abilities. However, the actor didn't feel pressured; on the contrary, he maintained a relaxed mindset when embarking on the project.
"Throughout my life, I've played many roles, of course some that weren't successful, and others that were loved by the audience. Both praise and criticism are valuable contributions, and I greatly appreciate them. This isn't my last role either. Perhaps in the future, I'll be involved in many more works, both stage and film," Quyền Linh shared.

Director and Meritorious Artist Vu Thanh Vinh - the creator of the film - is pleased with the results after its early screening. He is happy that his aspiration to create his first feature film has finally been fulfilled.
Discussing the issue of revenue, the director frankly acknowledged that in Vietnam today, people often mention figures in the hundreds of billions or trillions of dong. This makes some directors hesitant and afraid to make films.
However, Vu Thanh Vinh has faith in the film because the initial steps have been successfully completed. He hopes for the audience's support and acceptance of this heartfelt and decent project from the entire team.
