Mother and 2 daughters cried while watching Quyen Linh's movie

At the premiere of the movie Hai Muoi on the evening of August 29, Quyen Linh was happy because his family gathered to celebrate his return to cinema after 20 years.

His biological mother came from her hometown in Tien Giang to Ho Chi Minh City to support her son. She dressed simply, walked the red carpet with her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren and posed for the camera.

Quyen Linh’s wife – Da Thao and her two daughters Lo Lem and Hat De received no less attention than the main characters. While watching the movie, the whole family was moved to tears by the tragic role of the male artist.

The two daughters hugged their father Quyen Linh and cried at the theater. “We know that our father tried very hard to complete the role. We were moved because the image of our father on screen was very similar to his real life. We understand more about the precious family affection,” Lo Lem shared.

Quyen Linh plays the role of Mr. Hai, a man who makes a living by making salt in Thieng Lieng Island (HCMC). For many years, he lived as a single father, struggling to raise and care for his daughter until she grew up.

Returning to cinema after 20 years, Quyen Linh received much attention, even many skeptical opinions about his acting ability. The male artist did not feel pressured, on the contrary, he kept a comfortable mentality when entering the work.

“In my life, I have played many roles, of course some were not successful, and some were loved by the audience. Praise and criticism are also contributions and I really appreciate that. This role is not my last role. Maybe in the future I will play many works on both stage and film,” Quyen Linh shared.

Director, Meritorious Artist Vu Thanh Vinh - the father of the work was satisfied with the result after the premiere. He was happy because his wish to make the first film in his career was finally fulfilled.

Talking about revenue, the male director frankly admitted that in Vietnam today, people often talk about hundreds of billions or thousands of billions. This makes some directors shy away and not dare to make films.

However, Vu Thanh Vinh has faith in the work because the first steps of the film have been completed. He hopes for the support and acceptance of the audience for a dedicated and kind project of the whole crew.
