Midfielder Hoang Duc aims to score against the Russian team
Midfielder Hoang Duc showed great determination in the upcoming tournament, he also set a goal to score against the Russian team.
On the afternoon of September 3, the Vietnamese team continued to practice to prepare for the 2024 International Friendly Tournament. Sharing with the media before the practice session, midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc said that the whole team is trying their best to achieve the best results in the upcoming tournament.
''Every time the team participates in tournaments, we always aim to play with the highest spirit in any match. After the National Day holiday, the Vietnamese team will compete with the Russian team on September 5. This is a special occasion for the Vietnamese team to aim for the best result against a highly rated opponent.''
Sharing about the team's training intensity, Hoang Duc said: "In the past few days, the coaching staff has given us a very high-intensity training plan. We were given physical training by the coaching staff to prepare for the match on September 5th."
Talking about the goal in this tournament, the midfielder from Hai Duong showed great determination: "Each match, first of all the match against Russia, we aim for the best competitive spirit. Even though the opponent Russia is very strong, we still want to play a dedicated match and achieve good results for the fans."
Evaluating the Russian team, Hoang Duc said: Personally, I think the Russian team is ranked high on the FIFA Rankings, whilethat the Vietnamese team is outside the top 100. This tournament is to help the Vietnamese team prepare for the AFF Cup at the end of the year, my team and I are ready to enter the tournament, contribute, and try to achieve the best results.
Talking about the upcoming encounter, Hoang Duc shared: "The coaching staff rotates the squad, with many offensive and defensive options. Everyone is looking forward to a Vietnam team with a very new face in the match against the Russian team."
Hoang Duc also said that only Hong Duy has a slight injury, the rest of the team is healthy and ready for the next match. He said he will try to take advantage of opportunities on the field, if there is a good chance he will try to score./.
