The US wants to allow Ukraine to attack deep into Russian territory because of Moscow's success at the front.

The expert shared his opinion: “The initial US stance and the reason for the change are related to the successes of Russian troops on the front line in Donbass in the past few weeks.”
Mr. Gilbert Doctorow said that this month, the Russian military carried out powerful attacks on bases where specialists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trained. According to him, the attack on the military academy inPoltavaThe killing of dozens of Ukrainian soldiers was Moscow's response to Washington's provocative moves.
“We are moving up the ladder of tension,” said expert Gilbert Doctorow. “But this has little to do with what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to achieve for the good of his country.”
Earlier on September 11, US President Joe Biden said the issue of allowing the Kiev government to use long-range weapons todeep attackinto Russian territory is still being resolved. According to the Financial Times, there is a division within the US administration on this topic.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that the US plans to transfer long-range air-to-surface cruise missiles JASSM to Ukraine. They could appear in Ukraine in the next few months.
Responding to the press on September 12, Russian President Vladimir said that no one discussed lifting the ban on Ukraine attacking deep into Russian territory.
“Ukraine attacked Russia with the help of drones and other means. But when it comes to using high-precision long-range weapons produced in the West, it is a completely different story,” President Putin said.
President Putin stressed that the West's direct involvement in the conflict in Ukraine would significantly change the nature of the country, and would mean that NATO members - the United States and European countries - are at war with Russia.
The Kremlin chief affirmed that Moscow will decide how to respond based on the threats that appear immediately before its eyes.
