Con Cuong's education sector overcomes challenges to affirm its quality.
Overcoming difficulties, the Education sector of Con Cuong district is implementing various solutions to complete the tasks for the 2024-2025 school year.
Teachers voluntarily work extra hours, teach extra classes, and offer free lessons.
After years of mergers, Mau Duc Primary School still has two campuses, each more than 5km apart and located in a disadvantaged area of the district. Entering the new school year, although the number of classes and students has increased, the shortage of teachers persists, as in previous years, and the school needs at least 3 teachers to ensure the minimum staffing ratio.
Despite extremely difficult teaching conditions, the school has not yet had the resources to organize such activities.boarding schoolHowever, this year, all teachers in the school are still determined to teach 32 lessons per week, without charging any fees for two sessions per day. Teachers volunteer to teach extra hours free of charge to maintain the high quality of teaching and learning at the school.

Teaching extra hours, adding extra classes, and providing extra tutoring for students seems to have become commonplace in the school. This is also one of the activities that many teachers in the school have signed up for in response to the campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh".
Previously, during the 2023-2024 school year, the school's statistics showed that teachers volunteered to teach nearly 500 extra hours, and when multiplied by the amount of money that would have to be paid, it is indeed a significant sum. Among these are teachers of specialized subjects such as English, Information Technology, Physical Education, and Art, who have to commute between two school locations many times a week, which is extremely difficult.
Alongside this meaningful work, teachers at the school also register to participate in and effectively carry out tutoring for underachieving students, and purchase clothing, books, and school supplies for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. In teaching and learning, the school always leads in innovation with the motto "students are the center, the school is the foundation, and teachers are the driving force".
In addition to requiring teachers to focus on innovating professional development activities towards lesson study and helping each other improve the quality of education, we also implement many playgrounds for students to have the opportunity to develop comprehensively, such as organizing the "Golden Bell" competition in English, Olympic competitions in various subjects; and "Mathematics for Young Children" for all grade levels...
Ms. Phung Thi Thu Hien - Principal of Mau Duc Primary School

Last academic year, thanks to the implementation of the "Innovation and Creativity in Management, Teaching, and Learning" emulation movement, Chi Khe Secondary School had a successful year. The school's top-performing students ranked 4th out of 11 units, an increase of 5 positions, and for the first time, a student won second prize at the provincial level in English. In the entrance exam for grade 10, the school ranked 2nd in the entire district, only after Tra Lan Secondary School (the district's specialized school). In the 2023-2024 academic year, for the first time, 4 students from the school passed the entrance exam to the Provincial Ethnic Boarding School, achieving a 100% success rate.
The achievements have motivated the school staff for this academic year, although the school still faces many difficulties, including a shortage of 9 teachers and the largest number of teachers and staff teaching across multiple schools in the district. Currently, the school's facilities are severely lacking, and teaching equipment does not fully meet the requirements of the new General Education Program.
To accomplish the set tasks, Mr. Le Duy Thuan, the school principal, stated: "In addition to professional solutions, we recognize that innovation in management, teaching, and learning is crucial and must be demonstrated through practical actions. This means the school always pays attention to the well-being and fully addresses the policies and benefits for its staff."
At the same time, it is necessary to build a friendly, open, and trustworthy working environment, characterized by tolerance and generosity, creating opportunities for everyone to develop and improving the system of emulation and reward. Furthermore, attention must be paid to students, with policies of rewarding them both materially and spiritually, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, poor households, and near-poor households.
Focus resources on education.
As the new school year begins, many schools in the area are starting to...Con Cuong districtSchools have truly undergone a transformation as many new schools have been simultaneously invested in, built, renovated, and equipped with teaching materials to effectively implement the new General Education Program and maintain and improve the quality of universal education.

Specifically, the District People's Committee alone has invested over 20 billion VND in constructing facilities to serve teaching and learning at schools such as Binh Chuan Kindergarten; Thach Ngan Kindergarten; Don Phuc Kindergarten; Town Primary School; Chi Khe Primary School; Luc Da Primary School; Cam Lam Ethnic Boarding Primary School; Tra Lan Secondary School; and Lang Khe Secondary School.
In addition, the district has also done a good job of soliciting funding for school construction, such as building a canteen and boarding facilities at Don Phuc Ethnic Minority Semi-Boarding Primary School, Mon Son 2 Primary School, and Mon Son Kindergarten.
Throughout the district, 100% of schools now have green, clean, and beautiful playgrounds with regularly used and safe outdoor toys; 14 out of 14 schools have built friendly libraries. Despite being a mountainous district facing many difficulties, 33 out of 40 schools have been recognized as meeting national standards, a rate of 82.5%, including 5 schools that have achieved national standard level II.

Thanks to numerous efforts, the quality of education in Con Cuong district is increasingly being affirmed at all levels. Specifically, at the preschool level, 100% of children in preschools are ensured physical and mental safety; the rate of children participating in school meals reaches 100%; and over 90% of kindergarten children and 80% of nursery children achieve the educational goals of the Preschool Education Program.
At the primary education level, the district has effectively implemented a two-session-per-day teaching schedule, with 100% of schools teaching nine sessions per week, 100% of students learning computer science, and 100% of schools having undergone educational quality accreditation and met national standards.
Meanwhile, with the district's secondary education level directing the implementation of many synchronized solutions to improve the overall quality of education; maintaining the quality of advanced education and implementing many synchronized solutions to improve the quality of the teaching staff, the quality of teaching and learning in schools has been significantly improved.
In the provincial-level gifted student selection exam for 9th graders, Con Cuong district ranked first in Group B of the entire province and 9th out of 21 districts and towns in terms of average score, with over 80% of students taking the entrance exam for 10th grade being admitted to their first choice.
The average score for the 10th grade entrance exam was higher than the previous school year. At the high school level, the district ranked first in Group B for outstanding students at the provincial level, the 12th grade graduation rate reached 99.85%, the average graduation score increased, and many students were admitted to top universities nationwide.

Besides the achievements, the Con Cuong Education sector also identifies many remaining difficulties. While the overall quality of education has improved, it has not yet seen a breakthrough, is uneven across schools, and shows a relatively large disparity between schools in more favorable and disadvantaged areas; the quality of foreign language teaching and learning, and life skills training remains limited...
Therefore, entering the new school year, Con Cuong district has set specific goals for each educational level and outlined four tasks and solutions with the aim of ensuring comprehensive educational quality and continuing to maintain and improve the quality of awards in student excellence competitions.
The 2024-2025 school year is a special one for the education sector as the entire sector implements the 2018 General Education Program at all levels. To successfully accomplish the tasks of the school year, we always prioritize focusing resources and capital on strengthening investment in building school facilities and merging school branches to better meet the requirements of teaching and learning.
Simultaneously, the entire teaching staff in the sector proactively and progressively overcame all difficulties, upholding a high sense of responsibility, dedication, and commitment to the profession, and showing care and concern for students...
