Floods swept away 3 people in Anh Son.
On the afternoon of September 20th, floodwaters swept away three people in Hoa Son commune, Anh Son district, two of whom were rescued.
According to Mr. Le Van Tri, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Anh Son district, from 2 PM to 5 PM on September 20th, heavy rain fell in the district, causing water levels in rivers and streams to rise very quickly.
There were times when the authorities and the people couldn't react in time. Particularly in Hoa Son commune, three people in Hamlet 4 were swept away by floodwaters; the villagers rescued two, but one person is still missing.

In addition, there are 28 flooded areas in the district, including the Khe Loa bridge abutment on Provincial Road 349D, which has suffered landslides and is at risk of collapsing.
"Currently, the District Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command is focusing its efforts on rescuing people and assisting residents in flooded areas to reach safe locations. They are also placing warning signs in areas at risk of landslides and flooding to help people avoid danger," said Mr. Le Van Tri.
