Con Cuong district evacuates 55 households from flood-affected area.
Due to the impact of typhoon No. 4, Con Cuong district experienced heavy rainfall causing widespread flooding. To ensure the safety of residents, the district organized the relocation and evacuation of households at risk of landslides and flooding.
Con Cuong District has deployed forces to relocate and evacuate 55 households, comprising 220 people, from flood-prone areas and areas at risk of landslides to safe locations. Specifically, Bong Khe commune: 3 households, 9 people; Con Cuong town: 9 households, 34 people; Cam Lam commune: 6 households, 30 people; Chau Khe commune: 19 households, 86 people; Mon Son commune: 2 households, 10 people; Don Phuc commune: 1 household, 4 people; Luc Da commune: 15 households, 50 people.

Water levels rose in the Ca River, streams, and ravines; water flowing from upstream flowed rapidly and overflowed the streams and ravines in the following communes: Mon Son (5 points); Luc Da (3 points); Thach Ngan (11 points); Lang Khe (3 points); and Yen Khe (2 points).
Currently, water levels are high and water flow is impassable. Isolated areas include: Khe Bung village, Co Phat village, Yen village (Mon Son commune); Khe Nong residential area (Chau Khe commune); Thach Son village, Ke Tat, Pa Ha (Thach Ngan commune).

Heavy rains over the past three days have led to large-scale landslides at Cho Slope in Lang Khe commune, rockfalls in Block 7/8, Con Cuong town, Vuc Bong Pass (Bong Khe commune), and Yen Hoa road (Lang Khe commune)...
Flooding inundated the boarding school for students at Con Cuong Ethnic Minority Junior High School, causing difficulties for teachers and students with over 381 students. 15 meters of the fence at Luc Da Primary School in Lien Son collapsed, and one high-voltage power pole near the Khe Ran suspension bridge abutment (Bong Khe commune) is at risk of collapsing due to foundation erosion. Heavy rains also flooded 41 hectares of unharvested rice fields, and 3 hectares of sugarcane and cassava crops were broken or flattened.

At 7 PM on September 20th, the abutment of the concrete bridge spanning the Thỉn village in Lục Dạ commune collapsed. To ensure the safety of the residents, the emergency response team barricaded the village side, while on the Khe Sộc stream side, officials and staff from the Khe Sộc Forest Management Station of Con Cuông Forestry Company Limited, in coordination with the emergency response team, erected barriers to prevent people from crossing. Due to the collapsed abutment, traffic is cut off, and the commune authorities have not yet been able to access the scene. This bridge, built in 2021 with donations from benefactors and sponsors, cost a total of 1.5 billion VND.

In response to prolonged heavy rains causing widespread flooding in the district, district leaders directly visited critical areas to direct flood and storm prevention and control efforts, implementing plans based on the "four on-the-spot" principle, and assisting people in overcoming the damage caused by the floods. The police and military were the core forces, ready to provide maximum support to the people in responding to heavy rains, preventing landslides, combating flooding, and conducting rescue operations.
