'Messengers' spreading love for national culture
Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, there are special “messengers” who carry within them a deep love for the national culture. They are the reporters and propagandists who inspire the youth, contributing to preserving and spreading the love of homeland and country in the current period.
Champion Reporter's Efforts to Preserve Thai Culture
If anyone has ever followed the contest of excellent reporters and propagandists of Nghe An province in 2024, they will surely remember the image of Lu Thanh Duc - Secretary of the Youth Union of Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district, a young Thai man confidently presenting about the role of youth in preserving and promoting national cultural values in the digital age.

For him, the love for national culture and the concern of how to ignite it in the hearts of young people always aches in his heart. From that concern, Lu Thanh Duc has found many solutions to implement in real life. Those valuable experiences are an important premise that helped him win the First Prize of the Contest.
It must be affirmed that one of the qualities needed for a good reporter and propagandist is the ability to empathize with reality in order to effectively convey messages to people. At home, thanks to that talent, Duc has mobilized people to enthusiastically participate in the Thai Cultural Preservation Club, which he is the chairman of.

The club was proposed by him and consulted with the Party Committee and government to be established in early 2023. Although it has only been in operation for more than a year, it has created a strong movement among young people in Chau Phong commune.
The Thai Cultural Preservation Club in Chau Phong Commune has 35 members. Among these members, many are well-versed in the cultural and artistic forms of the Thai people, but there are also many young members who come here to learn and practice these forms. Lu Thanh Duc is the one who directly teaches the ancient Thai script to the members. Under Duc's connection, 3 artisans in the commune have participated in teaching the members a lot of important knowledge. Such as Thai folk songs, how to use musical instruments, organize folk games such as throwing con, to mac le and also how to weave and embroider.

The youngest member of the Club is 14-year-old Luong Anh Dao (Ban village, Chau Phong commune). Anh Dao shared that she has a great passion for Thai folk songs. Every time she listens to the artists' songs, she finds joy in the simple sounds of the lyrics. She loves to learn about the weaving, embroidery, and knitting of the people where she lives. These passions urged Dao to seek out the elders in the village to learn from.
And then, the opportunity opened up for Luong Anh Dao when she joined the Thai Cultural Preservation Club established by Chau Phong Commune Youth Union. Club President Lu Thanh Duc enthusiastically taught her a lot of important knowledge about ancient Thai script, customs and practices... gradually awakening in her and other young members pride in the cultural heritage of the Thai people through other meaningful subjects.

During the 3 summer months of each year, Lu Thanh Duc, in his capacity as Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, also organizes classes on Thai culture. In these classes, Duc and other artisans will nurture and teach the children unique folk songs and dances of the Thai people; and genres of gong, cymbal, flute, and panpipe performances... In particular, with his talent for playing the flute, singing Nhuon, and singing lullabies, Lu Thanh Duc is present in classes almost every day of the week to patiently and devotedly teach the children.
In 2023 alone, Lu Thanh Duc and the Commune Youth Union organized 10 life skills education classes for primary and secondary school students in the area. In these classes, Lu Thanh Duc skillfully combined traditional education and life skills, helping students gain a deeper insight into the cultural beauty of their homeland.
Spreading love of country on cyberspace
As an active member of the Young Theory Club of the Provincial Youth Union, Ho Ba Tri (born 1992) - Secretary of the Internal Political Security Department, Youth Union of the Provincial Police has long been known as an excellent writer of Nghe An youth.

Ho Ba Tri has written many articles refuting the distorted arguments and false information of hostile forces on the internet. For example, recently, in the cultural field, he has proactively grasped the situation, discovered and verified cases of posting false information on the internet related to the situation of supporting people affected by natural disasters, the situation of "democracy, human rights" or the trend of following internet idols (idol on social networks) in a deviant and distorted way.
The trick of the bad guys is to take advantage of cyberspace to carry out the strategy of “peaceful evolution”, plotting to promote color revolution among youth and students. When Tri’s articles were spread, they partly exposed the false information so that union members and youths could grasp the nature of the problem.

With each article, Ho Ba Tri not only provides accurate information but also arouses in the hearts of readers, especially the youth, love for their homeland and country. These articles have been widely shared on the social networking sites of the Youth Union, contributing to raising awareness about preserving national identity and the responsibility to protect the country from evil plots.
After nearly 10 years of working, Ho Ba Tri has written dozens of high-quality articles that require high investment. His efforts have contributed significantly to building a healthy and positive cyberspace, where young people not only have access to accurate information but also have their patriotism and sense of responsibility to the community and society nurtured.

Recently, Ho Ba Tri also won the second prize in the 2024 Provincial Competition for Excellent Reporters and Propagandists. With the presentation and debate topic related to promoting the role of union members and youth in preventing fake news and false news on cyberspace, it brought many profound perspectives, contributing to raising awareness among young people in the digital age.
Nghe An currently has more than 460 reporters and propagandists at district and commune levels, and more than 50 reporters and propagandists of provincial delegations.
Ho Ba Tri and Lu Thanh Duc are two reporters representing many reporters who are trying to create significant impacts on two aspects: preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in local practices and raising awareness about cultural protection in cyberspace.
This is an important foundation to help young people not only understand and appreciate traditional cultural values, but also equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to enter the digital age./.
