After the city of Vinh invested in expanding and renovating the sidewalks of Le Hong Phong street, the old utility poles and countless electrical and telecommunication cables hanging haphazardly on them became "obstacles" and "spiderwebs," affecting urban aesthetics and posing a traffic safety hazard.
Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 4 causing prolonged heavy rain, the dismantling of the "spiderwebs" and removal of "obstacles" for the road...Le Hong Phong road(Vinh City), the section from the Customs roundabout to the intersection with Nguyen Van Cu Street was left unfinished and behind schedule, so as soon as the weather cleared, the construction units mobilized manpower to urgently resume work.

The Le Hong Phong road was expanded, renovated, and upgraded by the Vinh City People's Committee with a total investment of over 323 billion VND (including land clearance costs). As of August 2024, the construction of sidewalk paving, road widening, drainage systems, street lighting, and telecommunications and power cable conduits in areas where land has been handed over has been basically completed... Recognizing this as a difficult task requiring coordination from many units, in August 2024, the leaders of the Vinh City Party Committee and People's Committee directly inspected the site and urged relevant units to expedite the process. The project management unit has set a schedule, aiming to complete the removal of old utility poles and power and telecommunication cables along the entire route by the end of October 2024; specifically, the section from the Customs roundabout to the intersection of Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Van Cu streets will be completed by September 20, 2024.
