Nghe An police arrest a fraudster 'buying and selling cheap used cars'
Working in the used car trading business, but due to gambling losses and business failures, Nguyen Duy Phuc received money from many people who wanted to buy and sell cheap used cars and then defrauded them to pay off their debts.
On September 27, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police Department is detaining Nguyen Duy Phuc (born in 1997), residing in Van Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, for fraud and property appropriation.

Nguyen Duy Phuc works in the used car business, so he often buys and sells cars with many people across the country. Since the beginning of 2024, due to losing money gambling and losing business, leading to debt to many people, the subject came up with the idea of defrauding and appropriating property.
Accordingly, during the process of buying and selling used cars, Nguyen Duy Phuc received money to buy cars for some people, however, he was unable to buy the cars as agreed and used the money from the car buyers to pay off debts. Due to his inability to pay back the money, Nguyen Duy Phuc resorted to many deceitful tricks such as sending pictures of cars similar to the customer's request and being transported to the customer, sending fake money transfer invoices to trick them into buying the cars.

Knowing that he could no longer pay his debts, after defrauding many customers across the country by receiving money to contribute capital to buy and sell cars, Nguyen Duy Phuc fled to Hanoi.
By professional measures, on September 20, 2024, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police arrested Nguyen Duy Phuc while he was hiding in Hanoi City for fraud and property appropriation.
At the police station, Nguyen Duy Phuc admitted his crime.

Initially, the police agency proved that from January 2024 to July 2024, with the above tricks, Nguyen Duy Phuc defrauded and appropriated the property of many victims across the country with an amount of more than 500 million VND.
Currently, the case is under further investigation.
