60 year old man saves 3 drowning students

While working in the backyard, Mr. Mao discovered three students drowning in the river. He immediately approached and saved all three children.

On October 9, leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thach Giam town (Tuong Duong); the town's Veterans Association; the Party Committee and the Management Board of Mon village directly went to the house to meet, visit, and commend Mr. Lo Van Mao, 60 years old, an exemplary veteran who bravely saved a drowning person.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 8, while working in the garden, Mr. Mao suddenly heard shouting.save drowning personWithout delay, he quickly ran to the riverbank and saw all three children struggling in the water. He immediately took a nearby boat and quickly approached the children. With the skills and experience of someone familiar with the river, Mr. Mao was able to get the three children onto the boat.

Mr. Lo Van Mao shared: "When I discovered 3 children drowning at the same time, if I swam out to save them, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to save all 3 children in time, so when I saw a boat nearby, I quickly rowed the boat to save them."

It is known that Mr. Mao had previously saved a drowning person in Cua Rao village, Xa Luong, Tuong Duong.

Mr. Lo Van Mao is currently a member of the town's Veterans Association. He previously fought in the Laotian battlefield. Upholding the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, in his daily life, he always takes the lead in the movements of his village and commune, ready to help the villagers when needed.
