Nearly 20 players from Song Lam Nghe An have joined the PVF-CAND youth team.
To participate in the 2024 National Third Division League, the PVF-CAND youth team decided to loan nearly 20 players from Song Lam Nghe An. Through the first two matches of the season, most of the players from Nghe An have been given official playing time.
In order to create a quality pool of talent for the first team, PVF-CAND Club has decided to establish an additional PVF-CAND youth team to participate in the 2024 National Third Division League.
However, the PVF-CAND youth team currently only has 12 players who can compete in the Third Division. Therefore, to ensure sufficient numbers to form a team, PVF-CAND decided to borrow 18 players and 1 coach from another club.Lam River, Nghe An.

Specifically, among the 18 players who joined the youth team...PVF-CANDThis occasion features 13 players from the U19 team and 5 players from the U17 team of Song Lam Nghe An. Notably, among the players loaned from Song Lam Nghe An are outstanding players such as: Hoang Minh Hoi, Nguyen Tan Minh, Tran Quoc Hoa, Truong Van Tan Sang... These are core players of the Song Lam Nghe An U19 team expected to participate in the 2025 National U19 Championship. In addition, 3 players from Nghe An currently playing for the Vietnam U17 team in the 2024 U17 Asian Championship qualifiers: midfielder Bach Trong Duong, Le Tan Dung and defender Tran Dong Thuc, are also loaned to the PVF-CAND youth team to play in the Third Division.
Notably, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu, who is on the payroll of the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center, was also loaned by the Police team to serve as the head coach of the PVF-CAND youth team.
Speaking about the benefits of loaning players to PVF-CAND, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Director of the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center - shared: "Our agreement to loan players to PVF-CAND brings many benefits to both the center and the athletes. By participating in the Third Division league, the players will gain more experience and accumulate more match experience. In addition, competing in this tournament serves as a training ground for the Song Lam Nghe An U19 team to prepare for the 2025 National U19 Championship."
The 2024 National Third Division League brings together 16 participating teams. The league is divided into two groups, A and B, based on geographical region.
The PVF-CAND youth team will compete in Group A along with the following teams: Nam Dinh Youth, Dong A Thanh Hoa Youth, Hanoi Police Youth, Quang Ninh FC, Zantino Vinh Phuc, Hoai Duc FC, and Dao Ha Football Center.
Meanwhile, Group B includes Can Tho, LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai Academy, Gia Dinh, Phu Yen, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai Youth, Becammex Binh Duong Youth, and Ho Chi Minh City Youth.
The teams will compete in a single round-robin format to determine the rankings in each group. The top 5 teams, including the 2 teams ranked first, 2 teams ranked second, and 1 team ranked third with the best performance in the two groups, will qualify for the 2025 National Second Division Football League.
Currently, the tournament has completed two rounds. In their opening match, the PVF-CAND youth team drew 0-0 with Quang Ninh; in the second round, the PVF-CAND youth team impressively defeated Nam Dinh youth team 2-0. Nguyen Tan Minh, a player from the U19 Song Lam Nghe An team, scored one goal, while the other was an own goal by a Nam Dinh defender.
In each of the PVF-CAND Youth Team's previous matches, 6-7 players from Song Lam Nghe An FC have been in the starting lineup.
Thus, with 4 points after 2 matches, the PVF-CAND Youth Team is currently ranked 2nd in the standings. In the 3rd match, taking place on October 30th, the PVF-CAND Youth Team will face the league leaders, Hoai Duc.
