Golden Bell Contest to learn about reproductive health of adolescents and young people in Yen Thanh district

On the morning of November 3 at Phan Dang Luu High School (Yen Thanh district), the Department of Population - Family Planning in coordination with the Medical Center and Yen Thanh District Youth Union organized the Golden Bell Contest "Learning about knowledge about population and reproductive health of adolescents and youth".

This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union's Traditional Day (October 15, 1956 - October 15, 2024). Celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20, towards the National Action Month on Population and celebrate the 63rd anniversary of Vietnam Population Day (December 26, 1961 - December 26, 2024).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Mr. Phan Quoc Tuan - Deputy Director of Yen Thanh District Medical Center affirmed the importance of providing knowledge about reproductive health for adolescents - the transitional age between childhood and adulthood, an age with many changes in psychology and physiology.

Through this, it will help students prepare a good mindset about reproductive health issues while still in school, to ensure their family life, future career as well as the population quality of the whole society.

From the above facts,Golden Bell Contest"Learning about population and reproductive health for adolescents and young people" is implemented with the desire to accompany union members and young people in schools in improving their knowledge about reproductive health care for adolescents and young people. Thereby, creating a healthy and useful playground for them to exchange, learn and share knowledge as well as the views of adolescents on the field of population and reproductive health for adolescents and young people.

This is also an opportunity for union members and young people to demonstrate their talents, intelligence, creativity, knowledge and understanding, and to equip themselves with life skills and behavioral skills in dealing with social issues. From there, build beautiful, pure friendships among students, and together prevent unfortunate consequences that may occur due to lack of knowledge and understanding of reproductive health. Hopefully, today's contest will contribute to the package of luggage that helps students confidently step into life.

In this contest, 100 students of Phan Dang Luu High School participated in answering many questions revolving around the content to learn about knowledge about population - family planning; reproductive health care for adolescents/youth; life skills, skills to prevent sexual abuse; knowledge about Culture - Society, History, Geography, hometown traditions...

At the end of the contest, Phan Cao Quoc Bao - Student of class 10A2 - Phan Dang Luu High School was the winner, ringing the golden bell of the contest.

In addition to the best contestants, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to contestants with good achievements, the team with the most enthusiastic fans and the team with the most unique propaganda content.
