(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 28, in Quy Chau district, the Department of Population - Family Planning coordinated with the District Health Center to organize the Golden Bell contest "Learning about knowledge about Population - Reproductive health of adolescents and youth".
The Golden Bell Contest "Learning about Population - Reproductive Health for Adolescents and Youth" is one of the annual activities maintained by the Department of Population - Family Planning for many years, for students studying at high schools. In 2023, the program was held in 4 districts: Quy Chau, Nghia Dan, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen and Vinh city.

In this contest, students go through 30 questions to learn about local culture, history, and geography. In addition, they learn about population - reproductive health of adolescents and young people; knowledge about population, family planning; knowledge, life skills, and skills to prevent sexual abuse.
This is the second time the contest has reached more than 1,600 students ofQuy Chau High School. In his opening speech at the program, Mr. Dang Tan Minh - Director of Quy Chau District Medical Center shared a lot of practical information about reproductive health issues of adolescents and young people.

Quy Chau district currently has 19,748 young people, accounting for 31% of the total population. Therefore, the issue of adolescent reproductive health care is worth paying attention to.
At Quy Chau High School, this is even more necessary because the school has more than 1,200 students living far from their families, many of whom are not equipped with basic knowledge and lack understanding, which poses many unfortunate risks to adolescent and young adult reproductive health.

With the implementation of the "Golden Bell" contest "Learning about Population - Reproductive Health of Adolescents and Youth", the organizers hope to accompany the union members and youth of the school sector in improving their knowledge about reproductive health care for adolescents and youth. At the same time, create a healthy and useful playground for children to exchange, learn and share knowledge and perspectives of adolescents and youth on the field of population and reproductive health for adolescents and youth.

At the end of the contest, the organizers awarded the first prize to Dinh Thi Ngoc - student of class 11D - Quy Chau High School.

In addition, the organizers awarded prizes to 6 students with excellent results and a prize to the most enthusiastic cheering team./.
