The police in Quỳ Châu commune successfully dismantled a drug trafficking group that was armed with weapons to resist arrest.
The police in Quỳ Châu commune have just dismantled a gang of individuals involved in numerous drug-related offenses, seizing 16 knives, swords, machetes, and other related evidence.
Recently, through intelligence gathering, the Quy Chau Commune Police discovered that several individuals in the area were colluding with individuals from outside the province to commit drug-related crimes. Upon investigation, the Quy Chau Commune Police identified two ringleaders, Lu Van Trung (born in 1976) and Lang Van Vi (born in 1978), both residing in Quy Chau Commune, as the main perpetrators who organized and facilitated the illegal use of drugs.

These individuals have numerous prior convictions and criminal records related to drugs, making this group even more reckless, daring, and blatant disregard for the law. Notably, to evade the police, during their drug use sessions, they frequently change locations and always keep many dangerous weapons to resist law enforcement. Their activities disrupt public order and cause public outrage. In response to this situation, the Quy Chau Commune Police developed a plan to combat and dismantle this drug ring.
After a period of surveillance and the coordinated application of professional measures, on September 12, 2025, it was determined that the group was gathering to illegally use drugs at the house of Hoang Van Trung (born in 1981), Ke Ninh village, Quy Chau commune. Dozens of police officers from Quy Chau commune divided into several task forces and unexpectedly raided the house, arresting 5 individuals for the offenses of "Organizing the illegal use of drugs" and "Illegally possessing drugs".
In addition to the three individuals arrested, the police also apprehended two more suspects: Vi Van Dan (born in 1976), residing in Quy Chau commune, and To Van Long (born in 2002), residing in Xuan Binh commune, Thanh Hoa province. At the scene, the police seized 1.56g of heroin, one car, three motorcycles, 40 million VND, four mobile phones, and other evidence related to the illegal use of narcotics. A quick search of the suspects' homes yielded an additional 16 knives, swords, and machetes of various types.
Currently, the Quy Chau commune police are consolidating documents and evidence and processing the suspects according to the law.
