Two suspects arrested for stealing iron fence panels from the North-South Expressway.

Le Van Hung and Le Dinh Toan have been arrested for investigation into the crimes of "theft of property" and "receiving stolen property".

Earlier, during a patrol to ensure security and order in the area, at approximately 4 PM on October 24th, the security and order team of Tuy Yen village, Cong Liem commune, Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province, discovered that several iron fence panels separating the local road and the highway were missing. They then reported the matter to the police for verification and clarification.

Upon receiving the report, the Nong Cong District Police mobilized forces and coordinated with the Nhu Thanh District Police to quickly investigate and clarify the case. Using professional methods, after only 24 hours of intensive investigation, at 1 PM on October 25th, the Nong Cong District Police arrested Le Van Hung (born in 1983), residing in Yen Tho village, Mau Lam commune, Nhu Thanh district, as the suspect who stole 15 fence panels worth approximately 20 million VND. Expanding the investigation, the Nong Cong District Police continued to arrest Le Dinh Toan (born in 1980), residing in Phu Son village, Phu Nhuan commune, Nhu Thanh district, as the person who purchased the 15 fence panels that Hung had stolen.

At the police station, Le Van Hung confessed that on the night of October 23rd and the early morning of October 24th, he used a tow truck to go to Cong Liem commune, Nong Cong district, and used pliers and wrenches to remove the barriers between the highway and the local road. He then sold them to Le Dinh Toan for 4.8 million VND.

Currently, the Nong Cong District Police have initiated a criminal case, charged the suspects, and temporarily detained Le Van Hung and Le Dinh Toan. They have seized all the evidence, including 15 fence panels and many other tools that Hung used to commit the theft.
