Improving the thinking and vision of union officials in the new situation
On the morning of November 8, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a training conference to improve capacity for heads of trade union propaganda departments.
Attending the conference were Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Representative of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Heads of Propaganda Departments of 63 Provincial and City Labor Federations, 19 Central and equivalent Industry Trade Unions, and Trade Unions of Corporations directly under the General Confederation of Labor.
The conference aims to equip knowledge and skills for the team of leaders and staff directly advising on propaganda work of the Trade Union organization, contributing to improving the effectiveness of trade union propaganda work, especially trade union communication in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
At the conference, Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor shared the topic of the new situation and the issues facing the Vietnam Trade Union organization today. He said: Currently, international integration is being promoted, the 4th industrial revolution is taking place deeply and widely, non-traditional security and climate change are increasing... At the same time, the number of workers in the industrial and service sectors is increasing, and the Trade Union is developing in both quantity and quality.
In that context,union officialsIt is necessary to have innovative thinking and vision, and to be equipped with the necessary skills to adapt to the situation. The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor pointed out some key leadership skills of union officials, such as: Managing changes; Inspiring and motivating; Behaving and communicating; Problem solving; Decision making... In addition, it is necessary to have skills in negotiation, bargaining, listening, planning, communication...
Affirming that Vietnam Trade Union is at a turning point, comrade Ngo Duy Hieu has specifically oriented the thinking, vision and skills of current trade union officials.
On the same afternoon, experts from General Department II, Ministry of National Defense will conduct training on the following contents: identifying and fighting against erroneous and hostile views about the working class and organizations.union. Reporters from the Institute of Public Opinion and the Propaganda Department will be trained on research, investigation, and grasping of public opinion.
