Enhancing the thinking and vision of trade union officials in the new situation.
On the morning of November 8th, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a training conference to enhance the capacity of heads of trade union propaganda departments.

Attending the conference were Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor; representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, along with the heads of the Propaganda Departments of 63 provincial and city Confederations of Labor, 19 central and equivalent industry trade unions, and trade unions of corporations under the General Confederation of Labor.
The conference aims to equip leaders and staff directly involved in the propaganda work of trade union organizations with knowledge and skills, contributing to improving the effectiveness of trade union propaganda work, especially trade union communication, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution XIII of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
At the conference, Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, shared a presentation on the new context and challenges facing the Vietnamese trade union organization today. He stated that international integration is being intensified, the Fourth Industrial Revolution is progressing rapidly, non-traditional security threats and climate change are increasing… At the same time, the number of workers in industrial and service sectors is increasing, and the trade union is developing both in quantity and quality.

In that context,trade union officialsIt is necessary to have innovative thinking and vision, and to be equipped with the necessary skills to adapt to the situation. The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor pointed out some key leadership skills of trade union officials, such as: Managing change; Inspiring and motivating; Interpersonal and communication skills; Problem-solving; Decision-making… In addition, negotiation, listening, planning, and communication skills are also needed.
Affirming that the Vietnam Trade Union is at a pivotal moment, Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu provided specific guidance on the thinking, vision, and skills of current trade union officials.

Later that same day, experts from the General Department II of the Ministry of National Defense will conduct training on the following topics: identifying and refuting false and hostile views on the working class and organizations.trade unionLecturers from the Institute of Public Opinion, under the Propaganda Department, will provide training on research, investigation, and understanding of public opinion.
