Vinh City General Hospital organizes the program "Light up hope, give strength" to support patients
Not only treating diseases but also putting all their heart into taking care of patients' spirits, helping them feel faith and peace in their treatment journey, recently, Vinh General Hospital organized the program "Lighting up hope, giving strength" as a practical gift for patients.
Starting from this November, on Saturday mornings, many dialysis patients at Vinh General Hospital's second facility have had the opportunity to participate in the meaningful program "Lighting up hope, giving strength"; with a variety of activities accompanying dialysis patients such as: Singing for patients, Yoga therapy, Reading books and Doctor's consultation.

For patients who are persistently on the journey of hemodialysis, this series of activities is considered a valuable spiritual medicine. At the program, they had the opportunity to relax with music, exchange and share with each other, read books, participate in yoga therapy classes, and receive direct consultation from doctors.
Patients not only receive physical support but also emotional support, feeling companionship in the most difficult times. Thanks to the dedicated guidance of experts, patients not only learn how to relieve but also find inner peace.
Each patient is encouraged to express and share their feelings, find empathy, thereby adding positive energy, helping to reduce the burden of anxiety about illness, health... together overcoming the pain of illness.

Ms. NTH (56 years old) in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An, who has been on dialysis at the hospital for many years, shared: “When participating in the program “Light up hope, give strength”, the doctor directly shared and instructed us, and more interestingly, participating in relaxation exercises and laughter yoga, we felt cared for, happier and more motivated on the journey to fight the disease. I hope the hospital will organize it more often.”
In addition to the program “Accompanying patients on hemodialysis”, on this occasion, the Hospital also organized the program “Smile Yoga - Happy Smile” every Thursday afternoon in the departments. Both programs received attention and attracted participation from patients and their families.

Sharing about the practical significance of the program, Dr. Pham Van Son - Deputy Director of the Hospital emphasized: "We fully understand the worries and sadness that patients have when they come here for treatment, especially those on dialysis who are the priority and concern of the whole society.
Spiritual therapy is the key to opening up a balanced and harmonious life between body, mind and soul - the value that the hospital always aims for in each program. Therefore, the programs are like small gifts that the hospital wishes to bring joy, positive energy, and encouragement to each patient on the journey to overcome illness.
We will call for more support from sponsors and benefactors to organize more and regularly organize "Laughing Yoga" programs on Thursday afternoons every week, "Accompanying patients on artificial kidney dialysis" on Saturdays, every 2 months to give strength and power to each patient to confidently overcome difficulties."
