Vinh City General Hospital organized the program "Lighting up hope, giving strength" to support patients.
Beyond treating illnesses, Vinh City General Hospital also focuses on caring for patients' mental well-being, helping them feel hope and peace throughout their healing journey. Recently, the hospital organized the "Lighting Up Hope, Giving Strength" program as a practical gift to patients.
Starting this November, on Saturday mornings, a large number of dialysis patients at the Vinh City General Hospital's facility 2 have had the opportunity to participate in the meaningful program "Lighting up hope, giving strength"; with a variety of activities accompanying hemodialysis patients such as: Singing for patients, therapeutic yoga, reading books, and doctor's consultations.

For patients enduring the dialysis journey, this series of activities is considered a valuable source of emotional support. At the program, they had the opportunity to relax with music, socialize and share experiences with each other, read books, participate in therapeutic yoga classes, and receive direct advice from doctors.
Patients receive not only physical support but also emotional encouragement, feeling a sense of companionship during the most difficult times. Thanks to the dedicated guidance of experts, patients learn not only how to cope but also find inner peace.
Each patient is encouraged to express and share their feelings, find empathy, and thereby gain positive energy, helping to alleviate the burden of anxiety about illness and health... and together overcome the pain of disease.

Ms. NTH (56 years old) from Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province, who has undergone hemodialysis at the hospital for many years, shared: “When participating in the program “Lighting up hope, giving strength,” receiving direct advice from doctors and, even more interestingly, participating in relaxation exercises and laughter yoga, we felt cared for, happier, and more motivated on our journey to fight the disease. I hope the hospital will organize this more often.”
In addition to the "Supporting Hemodialysis Patients" program, the hospital also organized the "Laughing Yoga - A Joyful Smile" program every Thursday afternoon in the various departments. Both programs received significant attention and participation from patients and their families.

Sharing his thoughts on the practical significance of the program, Dr. Pham Van Son, Deputy Director of the hospital, emphasized: "We deeply understand the worries and anxieties that patients experience when they come here for treatment, especially those undergoing hemodialysis, who are a priority and receive the attention of the entire society."
Mental therapy is the key to unlocking a balanced and harmonious life between body, mind, and soul – a value that the hospital always strives for in each program. Therefore, these programs are like small gifts from the hospital, hoping to bring joy, positive energy, and encouragement to each patient on their journey to overcome illness.
We will call for more support from benefactors and philanthropists to organize more frequent and regular "Laughing Yoga" programs every Thursday afternoon, and "Accompanying Dialysis Patients" programs every Saturday, every two months, to give encouragement and strength to each patient to confidently overcome difficulties.
