Pig price in the North
In the North, the price of live pigs today decreased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, ranging from 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Phu Tho and Hanoi, the highest purchase price in the region is 64,000 VND/kg.
In the provinces of Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh and Vinh Phuc, traders are purchasing at 63,000 VND/kg, this price is also recorded in Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, and Tuyen Quang.
The lowest price in the region is 62,000 VND/kg, recorded in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh.
Pig price in Central Highlands
In this region, the price of live pigs decreased slightly in some localities, ranging from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. In Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, the purchase price reached 62,000 VND/kg, equal to Ha Tinh and Quang Binh, the highest in the region.
On the contrary, in Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan, the lowest purchase price is 60,000 VND/kg.
Other provinces in the region recorded an average price of VND61,000/kg.
Pig price in the South
The Southern region recorded mixed pig prices, ranging from 60,000 - 63,000 VND/kg. In Ca Mau and Can Tho, the highest purchase price was 63,000 VND/kg. In Long An and Dong Thap, the purchase price was 62,000 VND/kg.
The provinces of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Soc Trang, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, An Giang, Vinh Long, Tien Giang, and Ben Tre have a price of 61,000 VND/kg.
On the other hand, the lowest purchase price is 60,000 VND/kg in Binh Duong, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Hau Giang, Dong Nai, and Bac Lieu.

In summary, today's live pig price decreased slightly in the North and North Central regions, while the South had mixed adjustments. The national live pig price is currently fluctuating between 60,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.
According to Binh Thuan newspaper, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province said that since the beginning of the year, the livestock situation in the area has continued to develop stably.
Currently, the province's total herd of cows is estimated at 184,300, the herd of pigs is estimated at 400,000 and the herd of poultry is estimated at 6.9 million, with a total output of fresh meat of all kinds reaching about 78,000 tons.
In disease prevention, the province has deployed vaccination for livestock and poultry with a total of 17.96 million doses of vaccine. Quarantine work has reached about 2.52 million animals and slaughter control has reached 48,064 animals.
The provincial agricultural sector also coordinates with localities to implement disease prevention measures for livestock and poultry, especially during the month of general cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of the livestock environment.
Notably, since the beginning of the year, Binh Thuan province has not recorded any dangerous outbreaks such as bird flu, foot-and-mouth disease, blue ear disease in pigs or lumpy skin disease in cattle.
Some infectious diseases appear sporadically in livestock and poultry but at a sporadic level, without breaking out into epidemics.
