Pig price in the North
In the North, the price of live pigs today decreased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, ranging from 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Phu Tho and Hanoi, the highest purchase price in the region is 64,000 VND/kg.
In the provinces of Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh and Vinh Phuc, traders are purchasing at 63,000 VND/kg, this price is also recorded in Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, and Tuyen Quang.
The lowest price in the region is 62,000 VND/kg, recorded in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh.
Pig price in Central Highlands
In this region, the price of live pigs decreased slightly in some localities, ranging from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. In Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, the purchase price reached 62,000 VND/kg, equal to Ha Tinh and Quang Binh, the highest in the region.
On the contrary, in Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan, the lowest purchase price is 60,000 VND/kg.
Other provinces in the region recorded an average price of VND61,000/kg.
Pig price in the South
The Southern region recorded mixed pig prices, ranging from 60,000 - 63,000 VND/kg. In Ca Mau and Can Tho, the highest purchase price was 63,000 VND/kg. In Long An and Dong Thap, the purchase price was 62,000 VND/kg.
The provinces of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Soc Trang, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, An Giang, Vinh Long, Tien Giang, and Ben Tre have a price of 61,000 VND/kg.
On the other hand, the lowest purchase price is 60,000 VND/kg in Binh Duong, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Hau Giang, Dong Nai, and Bac Lieu.
In summary, today's live pig price decreased slightly in the North and North Central regions, while the South had mixed adjustments. The national live pig price is currently fluctuating between 60,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.
According to Binh Thuan newspaper, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province said that since the beginning of the year, the livestock situation in the area has continued to develop stably.
Currently, the province's total herd of cows is estimated at 184,300, the herd of pigs is estimated at 400,000 and the herd of poultry is estimated at 6.9 million, with a total output of fresh meat of all kinds reaching about 78,000 tons.
Trong công tác phòng chống dịch bệnh, tỉnh đã triển khai tiêm phòng cho gia súc, gia cầm với tổng cộng 17,96 triệu liều vaccine. Công tác kiểm dịch đã đạt khoảng 2,52 triệu con và kiểm soát giết mổ đạt 48.064 con động vật.
Ngành nông nghiệp tỉnh cũng phối hợp với các địa phương để thực hiện các biện pháp phòng chống dịch bệnh cho gia súc, gia cầm, đặc biệt là trong tháng tổng vệ sinh, tiêu độc và khử trùng môi trường chăn nuôi.
Đáng chú ý, từ đầu năm đến nay, tỉnh Bình Thuận không ghi nhận các ổ dịch nguy hiểm như cúm gia cầm, lở mồm long móng, bệnh tai xanh trên heo hay viêm da nổi cục trên trâu bò.
Một số bệnh truyền nhiễm xuất hiện rải rác trên gia súc, gia cầm nhưng ở mức độ lẻ tẻ, không bùng phát thành dịch.
