Other information
According to the review report of Ha Tinh Provincial Police in July 2024, concentrated pig farming has created jobs and stable income for people, contributing to the local socio-economic development. However, many farming facilities violate regulations, especially causing environmental pollution and posing potential risks to security and order.
The violating establishments are mainly located in the districts of Ky Anh, Vu Quang, Huong Son, Nghi Xuan, Cam Xuyen, Thach Ha and Loc Ha. In order to promptly resolve issues related to pig farming activities and prevent environmental pollution, on August 6, 2024, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) requested the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to request relevant departments and branches together with the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to strengthen management, review and inspect the law enforcement of livestock farming establishments.
Ha Tinh province requires localities to promptly inspect and thoroughly handle environmental violations at pig farms. At the same time, organize reviews and inspections of law compliance and closely monitor environmental protection work at livestock facilities. Specific instructions include:
Guide facilities to complete legal documents and build standard waste treatment facilities.
Issue environmental licenses to livestock facilities according to authority.
Direct and guide environmental registration according to assignment and decentralization.
Timely detect and strictly handle violating livestock facilities.
These measures aim to ensure sustainable pig farming development, while protecting the environment and security and order in Ha Tinh province.
