Today's live pig price (November 16, 2024): Remains stable, with prices nationwide fluctuating between 60,000 and 64,000 VND/kg.

Pork prices in Northern Vietnam

Today, live pig prices in the North remain stable, fluctuating between 62,000 and 64,000 VND/kg. Specifically:

Lao Cai and Ninh Binh have the lowest prices in the region, at 62,000 VND/kg.

Hanoi and Phu Tho recorded the highest prices in the region and the country, reaching 64,000 VND/kg.

Other provinces such as Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang maintained prices in the range of 62,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

Live pig prices in Central and Central Highlands regions

In Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands, today's live pig prices remain stable, fluctuating between 60,000 and 62,000 VND/kg.

The provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Lam Dong recorded the highest prices in the region at 62,000 VND/kg.

Binh Dinh maintained a price of 61,000 VND/kg, while other localities traded at the lowest price in the region, 60,000 VND/kg.

Pork prices in Southern Vietnam

Pork prices in Southern Vietnam remained unchanged today, fluctuating between 60,000 and 63,000 VND/kg.

Can Tho and Ca Mau recorded the highest prices in the region, at 63,000 VND/kg.

Other localities in the region are purchasing it at prices ranging from 60,000 to 62,000 VND/kg.

Overall, pork prices nationwide are stabilizing after a period of sharp increases, with a tendency to level off in recent days.

Recently, residents in some areas near pig farms and livestock facilities in Binh Thuan province have complained about the foul odor affecting their lives and daily activities. In response to this situation, the Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment has been monitoring the implementation of environmental protection regulations at pig farming facilities in the area.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment reported the situation and made recommendations to the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province. The Chairman of the People's Committee assigned the Department to coordinate with relevant agencies to implement the following measures:

Inspect, monitor, and handle pig farming projects within their jurisdiction, ensuring that no environmental pollution or environmental hotspots arise.

Monitoring and testing odor control models at farms, evaluating their effectiveness for scaling up, and guiding farm owners in implementing them to minimize pollution.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province was also assigned the following tasks:

Review and compile a list of livestock farms located outside of permitted areas.

Develop plans and timelines for relocation, support facilities ceasing operations in these areas, and ensure timely progress.

Implement measures to reduce environmental pollution in residential areas.

These solutions aim to control environmental pollution from pig farming and improve the quality of life for people in the affected areas.
